The place was Freedom Hall at the 101st Kentucky Derby in Louisville, KY.

The time was when “Mandy” exploded on the charts and launched Barry’s legendary career.

The countdown is on for Barry’s FIRST concert with the New York Pops orchestra on Saturday, August 14 in Atlantic City at Boardwalk Hall. Barry, his band and singers can’t wait to perform all of the hits with over 50 musicians!  Barry’s team is busy rehearsing, reviewing music, and building a stage big enough to fit everyone!  It promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all of those involved…including you!

A NEW Concert is on Manilow.TV! 

It's the beginning of the month, which means Barry has chosen a new, never-before-seen concert from his personal performance archives to post on Manilow.TV.

July’s episode is the incredible 1.5 hour ONE NIGHT LIVE concert in Las Vegas in 2004.  ONE NIGHT LIVE blew the roof off the Mandalay Bay Arena with special appearances by Donna Summer and the cast of “Harmony,” featuring Tony Award winner, Brian D’arcy James.  As a special treat, Barry decided to add a few moments from his ONE NIGHT LIVE, ONE LAST TIME tour in July’s episode as well.  First, he takes us back to his concert in Columbus, OH where he debuted the “matrix” jacket during “I Wanna Be Somebody’s Baby.”  Those who were there remember it quite well, those who weren’t…well tune in!  Finally, Barry also added another bonus song from his stop in Houston, TX. You won’t want to miss his special performance of “Every Single Day.”

All of us are saddened beyond words at the sudden passing of our friend Lynn Stephens.
 
Lynn was a “one of a kind,” passionate, strong willed, always looking out for the underdog….with a heart of gold and a wicked sense of humor.
 
For many, many years she served as a trusted employee at our offices in London, but more importantly, she served as a trusted friend.
 
Both will be missed by us all.
 
In her honor, we have established the Lynn Stephens – Manilow Music Scholarship.
Each year, a deserving student will receive a grant from the Scholarship Fund to assist them in their music studies.
In this small way, we hope that by keeping music alive, we will be able to keep her memory alive.
 
Lynn was quite a gal.
 
And she is missed……

BARRY MANILOW NAMED BEST STRIP HEADLINER BY LAS VEGAS WEEKLY 

Las Vegas, NV (June 2, 2010) Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow received the "Best Strip Headliner" and "Best Bang for your Buck" awards from Las Vegas Weekly publisher Bruce Spotleson during Manilow's Saturday, May 29 performance at Paris Las Vegas.  The awards were voted upon by readers of the publication.

Manilow’s new two year engagement at Paris Las Vegas has been wildly heralded by critics and fans alike. In celebration of the success, AEG Live and Paris Las Vegas just announced an additional 18 new performance dates from August 20^th – October 24^th. On Saturday night, the talented daughter of Judy Garland, Lorna Luft, attended Barry’s new show at Paris Las Vegas.  Not only is Lorna a good friend of Barry's, but she performs and sings all over the world. Here is what she had to say about the show and she asked us to share it with you:

  I wanted to tell you all about an extraordinary show I saw last night. I've been friends with Barry Manilow for over 30 years. I have watched him as he worked so hard to go from the jingle world of "State Farm Insurance" to explode into our homes and hearts with "Mandy." I've been lucky enough to work with this brilliant man on stage and in the recording studio, and to call him my friend. I'm here to tell you I have never ever seen anything like his new show "Manilow" at the Paris in Las Vegas. This show is the most brilliant, smart, gorgeous musically genius spectacle I've seen in a long time, I have been in the company of great artists and performers all my life and believe you me, Barry Manilow is one of the great treasures that we have in the world of show business. The 10-man A Cappella phenomenon, STRAIGHT NO CHASER, has teamed up with Barry to produce a new version of ONE VOICE!

Barry Manilow triumphs after $150,000 fire stops Paris premiere

Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow turned a near tragedy into triumph during his premiere weekend on the Strip after a power surge caused $150,000 in damages to the computer program systems in the sound and lighting control boards. It wrecked plans for the Friday night premiere just hours later.
 
“You could smell the burnout,” one of the stage engineers told me. “One or two of the protectors failed or didn’t turn on, and the lot just went up. It brought the final rehearsals Friday afternoon to a complete halt.” It also forced Barry, the casino resort and the producers to cancel the premiere.
 
Coincidentally, Barry had a premonition a week earlier when he performed at the Keep Memory Alive: Power of Love gala benefit for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. “I don’t know if we will make it,” he told me. “There’s just a tremendous amount of brand new technology never been used before.” The producers had spent more than $300,000 on new lighting and sound for the theater.
 
Technicians worked Friday night and through Saturday repairing everything and reprogramming all the systems. But they ran out of time to move everything out of the theater to an upper technical area.  Read More>>

BARRY MANILOW OPENING NIGHT PERFORMANCE POSTPONED

March 5, 2010 (LAS VEGAS)  –  An unexpected power surge that occurred at Paris Las Vegas this afternoon has left some of the show’s theatrical and musical instruments temporarily disabled. The affected equipment will be repaired and replaced overnight. Tonight’s performance that was originially scheduled for 7:30pm in the Paris Theatre has been postponed to Saturday March 6 at 10pm.  All other performances will take place as scheduled.

Guests holding tickets for tonight’s performance will automatically be accommodated into a specially scheduled show on Saturday March 6 at 10pm. Those who wish to attend this rescheduled performance may use their original tickets. Ticketholders who would like to obtain an exchange or refund should contact the point of purchase by either calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 or visiting the Paris Théâtre Box Office.

Paris Las Vegas and AEG Live thank Barry Manilow and the talented cast and crew for their dedication and hard work preparing for this opening night performance. As well, we thank them for their patience and understanding during this temporary delay.
